About Me

Gavin, a partner at Doi/Luke, Islandlawyers has practiced in the field of divorce/family law for over 20 years. He has a Martindale-Hubble® rating of Distinguished and an Avvo rating of 10.0. In 2013, Gavin co-authored the book Child Custody Litigation and Settlements, published by Thomson West.Born and reared in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Gavin graduated from McKinley High School, and received his BA in Political Science from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and his JD from the University of Denver College of Law. Previously, Gavin has worked with the Child Support Enforcement Agency and the SAVD Domestic Violence Clinic. In his spare time, Gavin volunteers time with Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii and the Hawai’i State Bar Association. Gavin is a member of the HSBA Family Law Section, and was presented with the HSBA's 2002 Justice Award, which honors one lawyer annually for their outstanding contribution to the ideals of justice.
