Attorney Scott Heitmann

About Me

Everybody makes mistakes, and sometimes that can lead to embarrassing and frightening criminal charges. It does not make you a criminal, though you have probably been made to feel like one. A competent and experienced defense attorney can help to alleviate irrational fears and frustration at the outset of your case. I was admitted to practice law in 1992 and have successfully represented criminal cases of all types for more than 20 years. I will personally handle all court appearances, negotiations with the District Attorney, and consultations, and will take time and care to be certain that you understand all of the strengths and weaknesses of your case before we begin our defense. I am an experienced litigator and will personally try your case before a jury if it is to your advantage. Most cases settle before trial as the District Attorney will generally reduce charges when they are alerted to genuine mitigating facts, or problems with their evidence. Clients often choose to plea bargain as it saves money, time and stress. Do not try to defend yourself, at least consult with an experienced defense attorney.
